QuickBooks IIF File Format can be found at:

http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Pages/KnowledgeBaseArticle/1000706.html

It's actually really easy and would save so much time! It's a simple TSV Format.

Thanks,

Hi Erik,

Thanks for this link. We will check this out and add it if it's not too difficult.

This is an Important feature and simplifies things so much for Quickbooks users eliminating the requirement to do double entry!!!!

Just want to add my vote for this request

Thanks

One problem with the IIF import is that Intuit suggests that developers move away from this approach (as IIF support is going away in future versions). The new way of doing it is via the Quickbooks Web Connector. That is most likely the approach we will take. However, it only works with the Windows version of Quickbooks. Are most people using Quickbooks on Windows?
Thanks.

Realistically, I don't see the IIF format disappearing that soon. All the banks and credit cards I use support the format as well. In my case, I do not have Windows, so IIF is the only way I can import the data. Also, places that offer the Web Connect usually charge a monthly fee for it, which I'm not too keen on.

Good to know. I will definitely investigate the IIF option then.

Thanks for the feedback.
