OK, so the data in the Lite version can't migrate to the full version.

If I purchase the full version, can I run both on my iPhone?  I could just run the one client through to completion on the Lite version, and enter new clients on the full version.

Will this work?  Can I safely download the full version without displacing the Lite version and the data already in it?

I have both versions running on my iPhone now, keeping my main Client on the Lite version.

They seem to run inpendently just fine. At least they do for me.

Careful though. If you bill for you time on an hourly basis, and want to post what times of the day you worked on what tasks, the Full version does not allow for time of day entry. Unless I'm missing something, you can only enter the total amount of hours worked. For me this sucks, because I like to log the time when I start and when I stop, allowing the app to calculate how many hours were spent. I've posted a comment about this on the Sorth website a couple of days ago, but no one has responded yet.

JonS,

I sent you an email regarding this issue, but I wanted to post it here as well. You CAN enter the start and stop times for each task, but you need to adjust a project setting first: Change the time option in the project detail page. Scroll to the bottom under options and select "enter start and stop times". This will give you the functionality you are looking for.
