I have been using this program (mostly happily)  Smiley since early 2009. The Data Export stopped working for me a few months ago. When I upgraded to version 1.7, thought I would try it again, and it still doesn't work. Here's what happens:
Click on 'Start' in the Data Export screen, and after a short delay (25 seconds) the app quits, and I am back at the Home screen of the iPhone.
I have used the new 'backup and restore' function to backup my data, but am unable to see what is there without restoring. A little unnerving.
I am assuming that uninstalling the app and then reinstalling might solve the program malfunction, but I am reluctant to do that without a clear idea of my data getting back on my phone successfully.
Any other ideas?

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your post.  As I said in my last email, there should be no problem with backing up your data, deleting the app, re-downloading and then restoring your data from the server.

Just for the record, I followed that procedure -- backed up my data twice to the Timewerks server.  Then deleted the program using iTunes.  Then reinstalled. Tried to restore three different times using both backup files.  All failed.  Error message was that the backup file had a problem and that I should contact support@sorth.com.
I have done that.  But I think it is important to note that "you should have no problem" was quite wrong.  I'm hoping my data will be restored eventually.

Whew! Crisis has passed.  Unable to restore was a temporary server problem, apparently.
I appreciate the fast fix.
