I downloaded the Lite version of the Timewerks application and I'm having some problems with the Data Export function.  I can export the data from the iPhone, but it just doesn't seem to be in a very usable format.  I can't find a way to get everything together in one spreadsheet.  I can download the 6 or so .csv files, but can't seem to get the information put together in a logical manner.  Is there something I'm missing?

Shocked Thanks for raising the question. I wonder it's not been answered, yet.
I'm looking for the same feature or hint, how put all the individual excel files into one and run an meaningful analysis or pivot table.
Before plunging into this chunk of work I'd like to make sure there is not a solution around. Like checking there is no double booking day-by-day thru all the projects.

If you found one in the meantime, thanks for coming back to the forum ! Smiley

Thanks for the posts guys. We have not created an Excel spreadsheet with a pivot table, but it would certainly be possible, and I would be happy to answer any questions related to the data relationships for anyone who is so inclined to do so.  Similarly, you could import the CSV data into a small desktop database like MS Access.

In addition, as of version 1.6, we have added direct access to the onboard SQLite database via Data Export. There are several tools out there that make it easy to query a SQLite database. For example, take a look at the Firefox plugin called "SQLite Manager". It makes it easy to browse and query your data (requires some knowledge of SQL).

Hi
thanks for hint to SQLite, but rather deep water for a SQL-newbie! Anyway, I gave a try and got stuck when trying to display "starttime" and "endTime":
- REAL as datatype
- does not display with "date" or "datetime"
- I managed to read into Excel, where it converted into correct time format
but how to do this in SQLite?

In the meantime, looking forward for version 2.0, since adding records to days 3 months earlier, to be done on iPhone, is rather cumbersome.
anyway, great app!

OK - export -> SQL then other packages no problems.

I have to enter a heap of old records - is there any way I can transfer the database back to my iphone after it has been updated?

Cheers

Hi Luke,
In the current version, there is no way to transfer an updated db back into Timewerks once it has been updated. However, that feature is coming with the next update. We are really trying to submit this to Apple by the end of October. Check back here and we will post when we submit.

Regards,
Stephen
